Film poster ideas

Examples of Horror movies: Film Posters

These are a few examples of film posters which would be useful for our production towards our very own film poster.

In the film poster of Annabelle we like the idea of the use of blood dripping from the character's cheek because, it creates tension and it is also a proficient symbol of death which is also relevant to Diana's death at the end. Moreover, we agree that the use of a black background is suitable as it makes the characters stand out. Furthermore, the colour of black also symbolises evil which is relevant to our horror genre.

We thought that Drag me to hell also used suitable ideas. For instance, the
crying facial expression of the character can be used to indicate the struggle Diana faces in breathing whilst she is being strangled by the ghost (Priscilla). Additionally, the crying facial expression stimulates excitement and fear as the audience who have not watched the film are intrigued to know what is happening next.

The pose of the doll putting her lips across her mouth relates to the secret ways in which Diana receives her threats from the ghost. Therefore, this idea may well be relevant to use.
